The water we drink?

Water is the most necessary and the main element in our life.

All life on earth consists out of water.

Water pollution is becoming a real threat to mankind. An industrial impact on the environment leads to the release of millions of tons of chemical waste through rivers into the world’s ocean or underground sources.

Where do people get drinking water?

The most part of Russia receives water from surface sources — rivers, lakes and reservoirs. How to choose water and what kinds of water do exist?

Drinking water is divided into 2 categories: the first and the highest.

This water is safe for health and you can drink it in unlimited quantities. Such water is tested and analysed on more than 90 indicators: nitrates, cyanides, heavy metals, petroleum products, phenols and many others, its radioactivity is determined. Also there can’t be any parasites and bacteria. The content of useful elements — potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), fluorine (F) and iodine (I) is determined.

The first category of water is more relevant to the subcategory of safe waters, the requirements for it are rather mild like: the content of insignificant amount of potassium and magnesium. The quantity of minerals and trace elements which our organism needs is extremely low in such water. Water of this category the manufacturer can pour into bottles from a water tap. It does not contain any useful elements and, passing through a modern system of deep filtration, their content is reduced down  to zero. On the labels of famous and large producers it is written: the water of a centralized source of water supply. It is safe and nothing more!

It is important, how many minerals and trace elements are there in the water.

Drinking water of the highest category is useful and safe. Russian scientists have developed increased requirements for the content of useful elements and established clear boundaries of not less than and not more than a certain number.

Physiologically varied and complete water must contain magnesium, potassium, calcium, fluoride and iodine. If there is no calcium in the water  the bone system of our body suffers. Magnesium is necessary heart and nervous system. The lack of fluoride leads to the development of caries, and the lack of iodine — to thyroid gland diseases.

The total mineralization is also an important indicator of water. For the highest category  reference values ​​of 200-500 mg / l.

Аrtesian water is also not only safe but also useful one.

Such water is got from a well which depth is about 90-100 m and it is released under pressure from the purest aquifers. It is purified through natural filtering rocks. Than it is tested and analysed and is finalized on the factory where it is bottled.


Artesian bottled water of the first category has significant advantages over bottled tap water of the same first category in terms of quantity and composition of microelements.

If it is necessary  the composition of the water of the first category is additionally balanced by the number and composition of useful elements (or conditioned). As a result, water becomes of the highest category or of the children’s highest category (contains fluoride (F) and iodide (I)) in accordance with SanPiN norms.

There are artesian springs in which nature has created physiologically varied and complete water, but there are very few of them. Everyone decides by himself which water  to drink: just safe or the useful one!
